Beyonce Knowles has been an inspiration to womens fashion since her arrival to Hollywood and the mass media world. In 2006, the internationally known superstar took her family’s initial drive into fashion and made it her own personal brand.

House of Dereon clothing was first mentioned to the media in September of 2004, by fashion partners Tina and Beyonce Knowles. The two told anticipating minds that the name of Beyonce’s womens fashion collection would be House of Dereon.

The brand name was inspired by Agnz Deron, mother of Tina, grandmother of Beyonce and Solange. The women’s fashion range was said by Tina and Beyonce to honor Mrs. Dereon, a self-taught seamstress who created fine custom clothing and home furnishings for select private clients throughout the south in earlier years.

According to the House of Dereon website, the clothing line’s inspiration, Agnz Dereon is: “Based in Louisiana, the Deron inspiration used her ‘can do’ attitude and love for fine tailoring to accomplish anything she set her mind to in fashion and beyond”.

Tina Knowles picked up and furthered her mother’s love for fashion and design. Throughout the time period she was supporting her daughters’ careers, she found ways to upkeep and entertain her need to design and style. The mother of both Beyonce and Solange Knowles found time to create “Headliners” a hair styling salon in Texas. Headliners became one of the most popular salon names in the southwest and a gateway for Tina’s creative vision to remain sharp.

Beyond Tina’s Headliners salon, Tina Knowles has been honored by the prestigious CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), for her contributions to the fashion accessories industry.

Beyonce’s creative direction landed her unrivaled success in the music world and is now channeled into House of Dereon. It is reported that Beyonce has an active role in the House of Dereon’s design department, actively approving and discussing fashion designs and ideas.

Finding great success in fashion, Tina and Beyonce also took it upon themselves to launch a splintered Junior’s line entitled Dereon. Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles is the official spokes model for the clothing line as she’s is also a popular image, with an ever-growing fanbase. House of Dereon and Dereon have both found major success in their respective markets and beyond.

Beyonce and Solange Knowles can both be seen in media appearances, music videos, and different publications wearing both glamorous, exciting, Dereon brands.
