To say that Wildfox Couture is one of the hottest clothing lines around is an understatement. Readers beware: Wildfox Couture is contagious. The craze for the clothing line is rampant-and perhaps rightfully so because even Hollywood is not spared.
Wildfox Couture, formerly known as Whitehorse Couture, is a clothing line specialized in soft, simple, and vintage-inspired knitwear tees. Its tees are usually adorned with hints of Native American artwork, vintage, and rock and roll.
Wildfox Couture is founded by childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon in Los Angeles. Both came up with the idea of launching their clothing line because of their unhappiness with their own design jobs. Faulstich and Gordon wanted to create tees that were similar to their style: relaxed, effortless, and simple.
The clothing line released their first collection in Spring 2008. A few months after its release, Wildfox Couture gained a cult-like following. Celebrities began to wear Wildfox Couture’s tees. Among them were Alessandra Ambrosio, Demi Lovato, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Kourtney Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, and Vanessa Hudgens.

Wildfox Couture’s appeal lie in its super-soft tees and style: subtle and simple yet wildly beautiful and uninhibited. Design is usually light-hearted and fun. Wildfox Couture has made its way to well-known magazines such as Cosmo Girl, In Touch, InStyle, Elle, US Weekly, People, and Seventeen.
Currently, Wildfox Couture is going to release two collections: Little Fox and Love Bites. Love Bites feature designs inspired by the popular Twilight series. The clothing line also has a fund-raising project involving the Rainforest Foundation. Tees such as the Libertine tee are individually tie-dyed by hand. 50% of the wholesale price is donated to the foundation.
Wildfox Couture is hoping to expand its line. In addition to its tees and dresses, the clothing line wishes to produce bikinis, totes, and sandals.
Wildfox Couture can be found at Fred Segal, Kitson, Planet Blue, Bloomingdales, and Nordstrom. Its official website is www.wildfoxcouture.com.
