Ex-TLC Member Crystal Selene Jones Sounds Off About CrazySexyCool Movie Portrayal

Earlier this week VH1 premiered its TLC biopic CrazySexyCool, though most people enjoyed the feature film, former TLC member Crystal Selene Jones, who was the original “C” in the trio, did not and states that Pebbles removed her from the group after she refused to sign the contracts without letting her mother review them.

“So we’re sitting there and I’m going through the paperwork and it’s lengthy and I didn’t understand anything,” Crystal explained. “So I turned and looked at Pebbles and I said, ‘Can I take it home and have my mom take a look at it because I really don’t understand what I’m reading?’ She said, ‘No! Absolutely not!’ So I didn’t sign it.”

In the movie Crystal was never contacted after auditioning in front of LA Reid and Pebbles while T-Boz and Left Eye were offered a recording contract. Who’s telling the truth? I guess we’ll never really know.
