Lindsay Lohan is the cover star of Cosmopolitan’s The Work Issue.

The 36-year-old former child actress temporarily left her quiet life in Dubai and flew to New York for her Cosmo interview, which, according to the piece’s author Madeleine Frank Reeves, was “a feat nearly a year in the making.”

In the cover story, LiLo gets candid about her domesticated life in Dubai (“I cook a lot,” she says), her hopes for the future as she makes a showbiz comeback (“I’m just proud of how everything’s coming together”), and her skincare, fitness, and shopping habits. And let’s not forget the oh-so-chic photoshoot, with none other than the iconic Ellen von Unwerth behind the camera.

In Dramatic Black-And-White Christian Siriano

The Parent Trap actress rocked several stylish ensembles from the likes of Alexandre Vauthier, Chanel, Valentino, and Anthony Vaccarello. Among the more dramatic ones was this black-and-white look from Christian Siriano, consisting of a cropped tuxedo jacket and mermaid skirt styled with Ara Vartanian and Sauer jewels.

In Sparkling Navy Chanel

In another photo, Lindsay shows off a sparkling navy jumpsuit by Chanel, teamed with bedazzled mules by Roger Vivier and jewels by Tiffany & Co. and Melissa Kaye.

In Glamorous Valentino

A fun snap from the photoshoot shows the Mean Girls star tossing popcorn while looking glam in a geometric-patterned gown by Valentino. Completing her look are a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and Ara Vartanian and Chopard jewelry.

In Edgy Alexandre Vauthier

In another pic, Lindsay is posing in a vintage car, wearing a strapless LBD and embellished knee-high boots by Alexandre Vauthier, topped off with Celine sunglasses and Sportmax gloves.

Hairstylist DJ Quintero left her signature red hair down with a middle part for some photos, and styled it in a romantic updo for others. Another member of her glam team that day was her long-time makeup artist, Kristofer Buckle, whose other famous clients include Jessica Chastain and Blake Lively (he describes himself as a “[m]akeup artist to the fierce, famous and the ferocious” in his Instagram bio). He reveals in the interview that he has been working with Lindsay since she was 16 years old and that they have done “a million things together.”

“She had a very strong vision for herself,” Buckle shares. “And she was always a bit ahead of the curve with glam.” We’re glad to see Lindsay back with a new movie, Falling for Christmas, and looking as fabulous as ever!
