Celebs (and non-celebs, too) are looking like they just stepped out of the noughties, thanks to a major Y2K trend that’s making a comeback.

Whatever name it goes by – crescent bag, croissant bag, half-moon bag -- the tiny arm candy with a hobo-inspired shape was all the rage back then, seen hanging from the shoulder of every It girl. Two decades later, the trend is invading Instagram, TikTok, and the streets as all things Y2K are coming back in style. It might not fit much more than a phone and credit cards, but celebs are loving the bag du jour and flaunting their looks on social media.

Kylie Jenner With Balenciaga Le Cagole Bag

You know something has achieved It status when a Kardashian/Jenner is rocking it. Kylie Jenner posted this photo on her Instagram in late July that shows her with a black Balenciaga Le Cagole bag.

The Le Cagole happens to be a major favorite of celebs and style icons currently – other fans include Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, and more. That’s not so surprising since it looks like a revival of another icon, the Balenciaga City.

Chiara Ferragni With Balenciaga Lindsay Bag

Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni also owns the Le Cagole, but it’s a different Balenciaga bag that she’s flaunting in an Instagram post from early July. In the photo taken during a trip to Paris, she’s carrying the Balenciaga Lindsay bag to go with her edgy all-black outfit. The Lindsay is sleeker and less embellished than the Le Cagole, but just as chic in our opinion.

Alessandra Ambrosio With Celine Ava Bag And Chrissy Teigen With Bottega Veneta Jodie Bag

Another celeb who made a fashionable appearance in Paris last month, crescent bag in tow, was Alessandra Ambrosio. The Brazilian model was all about relaxed chic in a blazer, tank top, and slouchy trousers, styled with the Celine Ava bag, in textile and calfskin.

Chrissy Teigen, meanwhile, was in Amsterdam at around the same time having the “best bratwurst” she’d ever had. But it’s her Bottega Veneta Teen Jodie bag that has us drooling.

Kendall Jenner With Bottega Veneta Small Metal Loops Bag And Addison Rae With Prada Re-Edition 2000 Bag

In an Instagram post, Kendall Jenner is flaunting her own Bottega Veneta arm candy, too, but hers is the Small Metal Loops shoulder bag.

And rounding out our list of crescent bag fans is social media personality Addison Rae, whose accessory of choice is the Prada Re-Edition 2000 nylon mini-bag.
