Keke Palmer Turns Heads In Heavily Ruffled Pantsuit At 2022 Academy Museum Gala

Keke Palmer definitely knows how to mix business with glamour!

The 29-year-old actress and singer attended the 2022 Academy Museum Gala on Saturday, October 15, wearing one of the most eye-catching looks of the night. The swanky Los Angeles event, which some refer to as the “Met Gala of the West Coast,” was graced by the most fashionable ladies of Hollywood, but Keke easily stood out in her daring ensemble.

Is It A Suit Or A Gown?

Keke shared two photos in an Instagram post showing off the striking look. The first is a mid-shot with only the upper half of the outfit visible, and our immediate question was, “Is it a pantsuit or a gown?”

The second photo, a full shot, reveals it as a suit, with enough frill added to make it feel like a formal gown! The fashion-forward ensemble is from Italian brand Act N°1, and a quick scroll through their Instagram page shows they definitely know their way around tulle and ruffles!

Hair And Makeup

Obviously, the Scream Queens actress didn’t need much in the way of styling, so she opted to complete the ensemble with simple black pumps. Her beauty look was as bold as the outfit, though. Done by makeup artist Mylah Morales, it boasted a super-smoky eye in the same shade of blue as the ruffles on her suit.

As for her hair, stylist Alexander Armand opted for a straight ‘do with a slicked-back top – a perfect mix of simple, edgy, and elegant!

Triple Denim

Keke has been on a suit streak lately. On Thursday, October 13, she attended the launch of her new television network, KeyTV, wearing a triple-denim look consisting of a jacket, high-neck shirt, and pants. She finished off the jean suit with a pair of bright red pumps (which added a welcome pop of color), a top knot, and a low-key yet elegant beauty look.

And on Wednesday, October 12, the star was honored at the 2022 Ghetto Film School Fall Benefit for her contributions to the entertainment industry. She opted to go the minimalist route in a black three-piece pantsuit, which she teamed with a red mani, simple makeup, and a loose wavy hairstyle.
