For a clothing line not even a year old, CXXVI sure has accomplished a lot. The standard way for a brand to start out is to dip a toe in with a graphic tee or two and see how the market responds. But CXXVI bust out of the gate big, with a full collection of clothing, headwear, bags and accessories. Talk about making an impression on the hip Agenda Trade Show!
SoJones TV caught up with the up-and-coming brand, only to be taken from east coast to west coast in one single interview. The New York-inspired designs are bringing on the new cool; CXXVI is going for a rejuvenated all-American look. From their Spring and Fall 2010 collection, check out the classic flannel woven shirt with a touch of cowboy-ish stitching on the back -clearly a jazzed-up lumberjack look (you can view it in the video), and the hand-printed graphic tees. Here are some SoJones-approved CXXVI items:
NY Red, $32.00
Hang ’em Heather, $36.00
Poseidon Beanie, $28.00
Local 13 Duffle, $120.00
CXXVI represents on the west coast as well, being sold at the San Francisco Museum of Contemporary Art. If you prefer to shop online, get the CXXVI collection on their official website at www.cxxvi.net. Prices range from $32 to $56 for clothing, $10 to $16 for accessories and $120 for the hip ‘Local 13’ duffle bag.
