Rick Ross Announces Title of 6th Studio Album

BET Awards

Rick Ross is gearing up to drop his sixth studio album titled Mastermind. Announcing the name of his forthcoming LP via Twitter, the Maybach Music Group boss decided to unveil the title of his new project in the form a video trailer.

Here’s a vivid description of the promotional clip via MTV:

The two-minute, 45-second clip starts off with soulful backing music while a young lady thumbs through some classic pieces of vinyl by artists like Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Sade before she stops at Curtis Mayfield’s soundtrack for the 1972 film “Super Fly.”

On cue, the instrumental from Mayfield’s “Give Me Your Love (Love Song)” begins to play as the camera cuts to a number of the Boss’ most-prized possessions. Viewers see a pan of his spacious waterfront home, exotic fish, expensive watches, a collection of elegant eyewear, a pair of Reebok sneakers, diamond-encrusted chains and a briefcase filled with cold, hard cash.

As the sun begins to set, Ross has a rendezvous with his lady in a hot tub. Just as Mayfield starts to sing, the screen goes black … and the album title is revealed.

On other Rick Ross news, the big bawse is set to make his acting debut in the second season of the Starz TV show “Magic City.” Making a quick cameo, the Teflon Don plays the character named The Bolita Boss.
