Call it a weekend surprise, if you will, but no matter what you want to call it, we are mildly shocked to read the news that Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino of TV’s Jersey Shore locked down a deal to endorse a line of tuxedos. We also learned that it’s a six-figure deal.
Looks like our Jersey Shore boy has been making his way to New York City where he built a great relationship with a tux manufacturer, FLOW Formal. CEO Brian Weintraub, who is clearly a fan of The Situation, said he’s the perfect spokesperson as the company is reaching out to a younger demographic. Weintraub said:
“This is great for us and great for the industry. [Tuxedos have] become an old man thing.”
The line that’s appropriately named after its endorser, “The Situation,” includes tuxedos, slim-fit shirts, and accessories. The tuxedo line launched earlier this year, and Sorrentino is currently filming its ad.
We have to ask you this: do you look forward to seeing The Situation’s dapper side?
