She’s probably the only person we’ve come across who’s ballsy enough to tell the truth about the off-camera behavior of superstars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Russell Crowe: Allow us to re-introduce Abbe Diaz, a commercial-artist/fashion-designer that has put her time in moonlighting as a maître d’ at some of Manhattan’s most renowned restaurants.

Diaz made the jump from maitre’d to writer several years ago when she wrote and self-published a star-studded four-year journal called  PX This – Diary of the ‘Maître d’ to the Stars’, unveiled some of Hollywood and New York Elite’s ‘glamorous’ diva antics in her inimitable stream of consciousness style of writing. The book has been dubbed “the bible of the [NYC Food & Beverage fine dining] industry”.

This spring, Diaz is set to unveil her newest tome: PX Me. While PX This stopped at the front door, PX Me moves deeper into the Food and/or “Culture” Media industry… and divulges even more dirt, conspiracies and dirty dealings. It is fascinating how a book about ‘just having dinner’ can stir up the media and keep PR people busy. How busy and how stirred up? Check out her unusual promo for PX Me, done as a suspense thriller trailer takeoff:

“PX Me – The Sequel to PX This (How I Became a Published Author, Got Micro-Famous, and Married a Millionaire)” will be available spring 2012.
