Expert fashion collaborator/rapper/designer/artist, Pharrell Williams has started a new venture with the famed online shopping site: Karmaloop. This time, Pharrell jumped right onto the mothership and became the Creative Director of Karmaloop TV, which is scheduled to launch later this year.
Karmaloop will feature original productions along with movies that have shaped the 18 to 34 year-olds who grew up with the Internet. Pharrell is said to have a significant equity position in Karmaloop TV.
Greg Selkoe, Karmaloop CEO, said Pharrell will help create a brand that will get “cutting-edge youth culture” excited about TV. In other words, repeating the success of MTV in the 1980s.
We at SoJones.com wish Pharrell Williams the best in his new assignment. Does this mean we’re gonna see some BBC/Ice Cream items on Karmaloop soon? Only time will tell and we hope it tells good things. (Check out our other article on Pharrell Williams.)
