Eminem X Chrysler: Imported From Detroit

Rapper Eminem’s Superbowl commercial with Chrysler is going to be followed up with a clothing line. The success of the two-minute Super Bowl XLV commercial, “Born of Fire” will be wearable to both Chrysler and Eminem fans.

The auto giant has produced t-shirts featuring “Imported from Detroit” graphic and the t-shirts have been selling out consistently on Chrysler.com since the commercial aired.

Proceeds from the t-shirts will benefit several community-oriented organizations including Eminem’s Marshall Mathers Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Michigan, Habitat for Humanity Detroit and Think Detroit PAL.

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager who also serves as President of Shady Records and Director of the Marshall Mathers Foundation stated:

“We are very happy to partner with the Chrysler brand in supporting the local communities. The Chrysler brand and The Marshall Mathers Foundation share a parallel commitment to give back to the City of Detroit.”

If you think this will be the last time you hear from Chrysler, then good news for you: the automobile brand is planning on releasing new limited edition designs of the t-shirt throughout the year. All will be available through the official Chrysler website.

Olivier Francois, President and CEO for Chrysler Brand and Lead Executive for Marketing, Chrysler Group LLC stated:

“We hope that by partnering with these charitable organizations people will be encouraged to wear their ‘Imported from Detroit’ merchandise proudly knowing that a portion of the proceeds will go to programs and initiatives that contribute to the fundamental development of the children of Detroit and the communities in which they reside.”
