Rapper 50 Cent is known to turn everything he touches into lucrative money-making businesses. But like all businesses in the world, some just never took off and this time, it’s his collaboration with headphone manufacturer, Sleek Audio.
There was originally a “Sleek by 50” in plan, a pair of ‘wireless hybrid’ headphones with built-in Kleer technology. Sleek Audio recently opened up about the agreement termination with G-Unit Brands, the licensing company owned by 50 Cent. The headphone manufacturer said in a statement that it will be “re-evaluating our Wireless Hybrid over-the-ear headphones at a later date”.
Although Sleek Audio was vague but leaning towards the impression that the termination came from their side, 50 Cent appeared to be the one terminating the deal. In an interview with XXL, 50 said he has already established a new company that is developing a complete line of audio accessories, and guess what other stuff 50’s team is working on? You’re absolutely right: wireless headphone.
We can’t wait to see 50’s headphones taking over the market.
