Controversial Young Money rapper, Nicki Minaj is confirmed to headline the 40th American Music Awards which will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday, November 18 at 8:00PM EST.
The live online pre-show will be sponsored by Coca Cola and hosted by the likes of Sean Kingston, Lance Bass, Brad Goreski, Andy Grammer, Tristan Wilds, and Kimberly Cole.
Aside from Nicki Minaj, artists like Taylor Swift and Linkin Park will also be featured as performers of the night. The headliners are all up for the awards; Minaj dominates the nominations with four nods along with Rihanna, while Taylor Swift is up for Favorite Female Country Artist. Linkin Park is vying for the Favorite Alternative Rock Artist award.
Fans will help the AMAs decide the winners by voting online to pick the top artists in many genres of music, from Pop, Country, Hip-Hop, R&B, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Alternative and this year, a new addition: Electronic music.
