One of the most watched act at the 2012 Coachella Festival is probably the appearance of slain rapper Tupac Shakur who headlined the show with rapper Snoop Dogg.
Hologram technology enabled festival goers and millions of online viewers from around the world to watch Tupac rolls with a solo “Hail Mary” and a duet with Snoop on “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.”
‘Pac appeared onstage shirtless and wearing a crucifix chain, jeans and signature boots, and greeted the audience with “What the f— is up, Coachella?!” The realistic hologram then moved and danced across the stage, until it disappeared again at the end of the duet performance with Snoop Dogg. Here’s the video of the phenomenal performance:
The late rapper’s appearance got mixed reviews from fans, some loved the fact that their favorite rapper appeared and performed after his death 15 years ago, but there are also those who wants ‘Pac to rest in peace.
The show also featured big names like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar.
